 My Story
- 2013 -
At the time of writing this, we're only half way through 2013, but I finally was able to sit down and start something I've been meaning to do for a long time... my YouTube page and drum cover videos! I spent a couple months learning how to mic, record, mix, edit, use the software involved, etc. before I was able to sit down and make a video... but it finally happened! I hope everyone is enjoying the videos; there are many more to come, and the story of 2013 is just beginning to unfold.

- 2012 -
2012 was a whirlwind of action. After building some steam in 2011 in V is for Villains and growing a fan base, we spent the year touring everything from anime and comic conventions to playing clubs and outdoor festivals. As things winded down and we ended up back home, we headlined The House of Blues as well as The Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago.

- 2011 -
My internship at The Music Garage wrapped up in early 2011. I spent the next 6 months practicing, auditioning for bands, and playing with people before I joined Chicago based band V is for Villains in late August. We played our first show headlining at The Metro in Chicago on September 3rd, and finished out the year headlining The Bottom Lounge in Chicago.

- 2010 -
With some live experience under my belt in 2010, I sought out more opportunities to grow as a musician. I ended up interning at The Music Garage in Chicago, IL where I was able to learn a lot of skills and meet a lot of great people. Toward the end of 2010, I left the metal band I had been playing in and focused solely on my internship as well as continuing my education on the drum set.

- 2009
After about 6 months of practicing hours on end every day, I felt like I was finally ready to put myself out there and try to join a band. I ended up joining a cover band based out of Kenosha, WI. It was short lived, and ended at the end of the summer of 2009. Shortly after leaving, I joined an original metal band based out of Chicago, IL. This was my first band that gave me real live experience. For the rest of 2009 into 2010 we played venues around Chicago such as Reggie's Rock Club, Double Door, The Cubby Bear, did some touring, and much more.

- 2008 -
Late 2008 was the beginning of my journey. I always wanted to play an instrument growing up, but I never had the opportunity until I was an adult in college. I signed up for a drumming class at my college and I absolutely loved it. From day one of learning how to hold the sticks I practiced anything and everything I could learn to become better at my new found passion. A few months down the line I knew I needed to get my own drum kit. My mom helped me buy my first drum kit from the wonderful people at The Drum Pad in Palatine, IL. I was able to get a floor model Mapex M Birch in purple (which I still have!) with some used Sabian B8 cymbals. What started as a curiosity and a hobby quickly became a passion that I knew I wanted to make a career out of.
